Iowa Pump & Compressor is hiring a Field Service Technician to repair and service our compressed air customers in Waterloo, IA and surrounding areas. Commonly referred to as the fourth utility, compressed air powers several critical manufacturing and industrial processes.

As a Field Service Technician for Iowa Pump & Compressor, you will utilize and hone your skills to maintain, and repair compressed air systems. These systems include rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors, and additional compressed air system components.

Primary Responsibilities

Continuously assessing working environments for safety concerns ~ Works with Service Coordinator on identifying and ordering parts required to complete installations and repairs ~ Ensure proper operation of a wide variety of compressed air equipment, including air compressors, refrigerated dryers, desiccant dryers, and other compressed air components ~ Effectively communicate with customers and co-workers ~ Document service and installations be completing service reports for each job, addressing customer complaints, and recommending system improvements ~ Able to read wiring schematics and diagrams ~ Basic vibration troubleshooting.
